Two economies
Mobile equipment repair in Marion County

Warehouses on the interstate, horse farms behind them.

Ocala runs two heavy equipment economies at once and they barely overlap. On the interstate side there is one of the fastest growing distribution corridors in Florida, with logistics parks along I-75 holding buildings measured in the millions of square feet. Amazon bought a one point zero eight million square foot facility here in 2025 for over ninety seven million dollars, and another nine hundred thousand square foot building landed a full building tenant the same year.

On the other side there is agriculture on a scale that is easy to underestimate. Marion County has around three thousand five hundred farms across three hundred and seventy seven thousand acres, over a billion dollars in annual revenue, six hundred Thoroughbred farms, and roughly seventy five percent of Florida's Thoroughbred industry. Add a hundred and fourteen thousand acres of planted pine and a hundred and thirty seven thousand of mixed timber and you have a lot of tractors, loaders and forestry equipment.

There is manufacturing too, including a fire apparatus builder employing over a thousand people and a Lockheed Martin operation, plus Ocala International Airport. For a mobile diesel outfit that means a wide mix of machines, and the interstate access to reach most of them: I-75 exits 341 at CR 484, 350 at SR 200, 352 at SR 40, 354 at US 27, 358 at SR 326 and 368 at CR 318.

This is our longest run and we say so. Ocala is around two hours out. For a machine that would otherwise be trailered a long way that still adds up, and for a small job it might not. You will get that assessment on the phone, not after we arrive.

Questions we get

What Ocala callers ask a diesel mechanic.

How far is Ocala from your base?
It is the longest run on our list, around two hours. We will tell you that plainly on the phone and let you decide, rather than taking the call and being late.
Which I-75 exits serve Ocala?
Exit 341 at CR 484, exit 350 at SR 200, exit 352 at SR 40, exit 354 at US 27, exit 358 at SR 326 and exit 368 at CR 318. Tell us which is nearest your site.
Do you work on the distribution park construction sites?
Yes. The logistics corridor along I-75 has some very large pads under construction, and the equipment on them works long shifts.
Do you repair farm and horse farm equipment?
Yes. Tractors, loaders, arena groomers and utility equipment. Marion County has around three thousand five hundred farms and most of them run diesel.
Is it worth calling you from Ocala when there are closer options?
Sometimes not, and we will say so. Where it does make sense is when the alternative is trailering a large machine a long distance, or when you want the same outfit that services the rest of your fleet.
Do you service forestry and timber equipment here?
Yes. There is a lot of planted pine and mixed timber in the county, and skidders and loaders work hard in it.
Can you handle a scheduled maintenance program this far out?
Yes, and at this distance a scheduled program usually makes more sense than reactive calls. Batching several machines into one visit is better value for both of us.
Do you cover Belleview, Dunnellon and the rest of Marion County?
We take calls from around the county. Given the distance, be specific about where the machine is and we will be specific back about timing.

Where else we go from Ocala

Crews working both sides of the county line call us for diesel repair around Gainesville and DeLand heavy equipment repair as well.
